Statement of Faith

I believe there is one and only one living and true God. He reveals Himself as three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit without division of nature, essence, or being.

I believe the Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. It is the only infallible Word of God and contains God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. It reveals the principles by which God judges us and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. Scripture testifies of Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

I believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, without beginning and without end. There was no point in time or eternity when He came into existence; He has always existed. In His incarnation He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God. He took upon Himself human nature and identified with mankind, yet never sinned. He fulfilled the Law, died a substitutionary death on the cross, and rose from the dead with a glorified body. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father where He is the One Mediator between God the Father and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and consummate His redemptive mission.

I believe that God chose me before the foundation of the world, that the Holy Spirit made me spiritually alive, and that Christ Jesus called me to follow Him. Jesus died for my sins and imputed His righteousness to me so that I would be reconciled to God. This is God's grace.

I believe that as a follower of Christ I am to be holy in thought, word, and deed. Though I am not perfect and still sin, Christ forgives me.  My life is being transformed as the Holy Spirit works to make me more like Jesus. One day I will be like Christ and will be in His presence forever!

     Come quickly Lord Jesus!
